The first fixtures will be played in July 2009. The format has been changed[1] since the previous edition, with a two division system being introduced. The 2009 ICC World Cup Qualifier also served as a qualifier for this tournament. The top six teams from the qualifier, along with a Zimbabwe XI, will compete in a round robin top division. The teams ranked 7th–10th in the competition will contest the ICC Intercontinental Shield.
