2preciious was a Canadian alternative rock band featuring Lee Aaron.

Background

The Ontario based Lee Aaron was increasingly disilusioned with big label main-stream rock music. She felt that the ‘Metal Queen’ image of her earlier albums was now part of her past and that it was time to move in a new direction.

In early 1994 she met with Don Short and Don Binns of the Canadian band Sons of Freedom. Discussions were had to record music together. Recording work continued at this time on Aaron’s solo album Emotional Rain which began Aaron’s departure from her former image. Short and Binns played drums and bass respectively on this album

In December 1994 the new band, now based in Vancouver were joined by Sons of Freedom’s Don Harrison on guitar to record the songs Strange Alice and Concrete & Ice. The songs were produced by Aaron’s long term musical partner John Albani. But with Aaron now self-managing and choosing to record on an independent label this was the last contribution from Albani. These songs were to appear on the European edition of the Emotional Rain album.

In November 1995 Glen Reely was employed to produce a new album under the band name 2preciious. The band included the Three Dons from Sons of Freedom. As part of the rejuvenation process the name Lee Aaron was not seen on the original release of the album and Lee Aaron’s contributions were under her original name Karen Greening.

The first album was released in early 1996. Although there were no plans to tour, Aaron claimed that another record would follow. A Promotional video was made for the song Mascara. Aaron remarked "I loved making this video. It was a chance to really step outside all of the commercial/corporate box I'd been defined by in the 80's. And writing this whole album with The Sons Of Freedom was a huge period of growth for me." . However with little commercial interest in the first album, the band broke up soon after the release. The album would be released in Europe under the name Lee Aaron & 2preciious.

Aaron subsequently moved from rock to jazz singing. The Three Dons moved into production, and re-emerged as musicians with the band Jakalope in 2004.
