Bhummaso (Burmese: ဘုမ္မစိုး; also called as Myay Saung Nat (Burmese: မြေစောင့်နတ်; lit. "Earth Guardian Spirit"), are Burmese nats (spirits) who inhabit the tops of trees and serve as guardians of the sky. Bhummaso is derived from Pali buma deva (ဘုမ္မဒေဝ), which literally means "deity of the earth."[1]

They are related to Yokkaso (ရုက္ခစိုး) and Akathaso (အာကာသစိုး), who respectively live on the tree trunks and sky. Akathaso are guardian spirits of the sky while Yokkaso are guardian spirits of tree.[1][2]
