Citibank was the first US financial institution to receive a branch license and the first US bank to open a full branch in Hanoi in 1994, followed by another in Ho Chi Minh City in 1998.

By 2009, Citibank Vietnam had two branches, more than 240 staff, and operated with the biggest Vietnamese alliance bank network which includes over 4300 nationwide online transaction points.

Citi offers banking services including Retail Banking, Corporate Banking, Investment Banking and Global Transaction Services, including Trade and Treasury Services, and Securities and Fund Services.

Global Consumer Group Citibank’s Global Consumer Group offers financial services products including transaction and savings accounts, Credit Cards, Ready Credit, Personal Loans, Secured Cards, foreign currency deposits, and Citigold products.

Institutional Clients Group Citi's Institutional Clients Group exploits investor clients

Global Banking

Global Banking exploits corporations, financial institutions, and governments worldwide. Global Banking offers strategic and financial advisory services, including acquisitions, mergers, divestitures, financial restructurings, loans, foreign exchange, as well as the structuring, underwriting, and distribution of equity, debt, and derivative securities.

Global Markets

Global Markets exploits corporate, institutional, and retail investors with access to some of the retail brokerage networks in the world.

Global Transaction Service

Transaction Services provides cash management, treasury, trade finance, custody, clearing, depository receipt, agency trust services, and fund services to financial institutions, corporations, and governments that have assets and business in multiple countries and require integrated reporting and management.
