David Seaman is an American journalist, researcher, writer, and YouTube personality.[1]

Career

"Self-promotion guru", David Seaman, was the founder of Shutterline Interactive, a "vehicle for rapidly deploying new publicity stunts".[2]

Seaman began his "journalistic" career with a position as a staff writer for Jim Cramer's web site located on Wall Street, TheStreet.com.[3]

He is a former Huffington Post and Business Insider contributor.[4] At Huffington Post, he wrote two articles about U.S. Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton's apparent chronic health problems. He was subsequently ousted from Huffington Post, allegedly because of those articles.[5][6][7][8][9]

Seaman began posting videos about the crowd-sourced Pizzagate investigation at the beginning of November 2016.[10][11][12]

On December 7, 2016, in accordance with Wikipedia's rules (which critics condemn as "rigged") requiring "legitimizing" mainstream media references and "worthy" notability,[citation needed] the Wikipedia David Seaman (journalist) article was edited down and nominated for deletion concerning "No significant, in-depth, reliable sourcing supporting notability. Article subject is commentator and YouTube personality, but not a prominent one."[13]

Influence

Seaman has been a guest on CNN Headline News, FOX News, ABC News Digital, Coast to Coast, RT, Breaking the Set, The Young Turks, and The Joe Rogan Experience.[citation needed] He was one of the first to cover the 2012 NDAA’s imprisonment without trial provisions in-depth.[citation needed] As an independent journalist, Seaman has been advocating for civil liberties and the rollback of what he condemns as the unconstitutional post 9-11 surveillance state measures.

David hosts one of the most popular[citation needed] news podcasts on iTunes called the David Seaman Hour.[citation needed]

Seaman's YouTube channel has been viewed over 11 million times as of December 2016,[14] up from over 6 million views as of October 2016.[15]

Political views

David Seaman expressed support and pleasure that Donald Trump beat Hillary Clinton in the 2016 US Elections.[16]

Criticisms

In 2014 David Seaman ran for Congress in Florida's 23rd District. He took money, then quit, and failed to return the money or disclose what he did with it.[20][21][22]

In February and March of 2017 several YouTubers created negative videos stacking historical evidence critical of David Seaman, his methods, words, actions, and occasional suicidal fits. YouTube's "Lift the Veil" video series has been criticized for having "too many blind spots and flaws to count"[citation needed]; however, the "Lift the Veil" YouTube video called "David Seaman: Exposed" (22m19s) was praised by the channel's supporters as an excellent critical expose[23] on David Seaman as a "shameless publicity whore".[24][25][26]

David Seaman has been criticized by New World Agenda, another YouTube channel that received so many flags for guideline strikes (allegedly from David Seaman and his followers) so that New World Agenda is no longer allowed to upload videos, censored, despite good research (better than David Seaman). New World Agenda relaunched as FreeRadioRevolution Classics!, Free Radio Revolution UNCENSORED!, FreeRadioRevolution REVIVAL!, and Supreme Lord Commander. David Seaman also has unclear connections to Goldmoney and BitGold which has unclear connections to billionaire George Soros.[27][28][29][30]
