Edna Greene Medford is a professor of history at Howard University, who specializes in 19th-century African-American history.[1]
She is a member of the board of the Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Foundation.[2]
Medford has degrees from Hampton University, the University of Illinois and the University of Maryland.
Awards
Edna Green Medford was inducted as a Laureate of The Lincoln Academy of Illinois and awarded the Order of Lincoln (the State’s highest honor) by the Governor of Illinois in 2009 as a Bicentennial Laureate.[3]
