Summary

A close-up view of hardware photographed during testing of Apollo-Soyuz docking system at Rockwell International's plant in Downey, California. Docking System 7 (DS-7 nearer camera) and Docking System 2 (DS-2) were about to be evaluated during a vacuum cold screen test in preparation for shipment of the hardware to the Soviet Union. DS-5 has been designated as the prime flight article for the joint U.S.-USSR Apollo-Soyuz Test Project (ASTP) docking mission in Earth orbit, scheduled for July 1975.
