The Ardennes Abbey in the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Calvados" class="extiw" title="en:Calvados">Calvados</a> department of <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Normandy" class="extiw" title="en:Normandy">Normandy</a>, in <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/France" class="extiw" title="en:France">France</a>. Largely restored after it was used as an observation post for the German army in the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Normandy" class="extiw" title="en:Battle of Normandy">Battle of Normandy</a>. Approximately 27 Canadian prisoners of war were executed in or around the Abbey.
