On the left can be seen some of the more unusual percussion instruments called for in the score, such as the wind machine and thunder sheet. Photo taken at a concert at Warner Concert Hall, in Bibbins Hall, Oberlin Conservatory of Music, Oberlin, Ohio, United States (the Ohio premiere of the work). The performing group is The Oberlin Contemporary Music Ensemble, dir. Timothy Weiss. The xylorimba soloist (seated) is Jennifer Torrence, the glockenspiel player is Sindre Saetre, and the piano soloist is Robert Shannon. |
