Arms of Fane of Boyton: Argent, on a fess azure three dexter gauntlets appaumy or (Source: Debrett's Peerage, 2015, p.258, Baron Clinton (Fane-Trefusis)), a differenced version of Fane, Earl of Westmorland. Rev. Arthur Fane (1809–1872), of Boyton Manor, Codford, in Wiltshire, domestic chaplain to his cousin the Earl of Westmorland and Rector of Fulbeck in Norfolk, was the 2nd illegitimate son of General Sir Henry Fane (1778-1840), GCB, Commander-in-Chief of India, the eldest son of Hon.
