Summary

HSL and HSV are two cylindrical representations of the RGB gamut, created in the mid-1970s and used mostly in image editing and computer graphics. Shown are cut-away 3d models of HSL and HSV on top, along with three 2D plots (for each model) where one parameter is held constant and the other two are varied. For details, see the article HSL and HSV.
