Anklet beaten from a solid <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brass" class="extiw" title="w:Brass">brass</a> bar of the type worn by <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Igbo" class="extiw" title="w:Igbo">Igbo</a> women in <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nigeria" class="extiw" title="w:Nigeria">Nigeria</a>. Diameter approx 35cm. Donated in 1922 by Mrs J Laurie to <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wolverhampton_Art_Gallery" class="extiw" title="w:Wolverhampton Art Gallery">Wolverhampton Art Gallery</a>, from whose catalogue this description is sourced.
