Thinobadistes segnis (or the slow beach walker) is a Miocene mylodontid ground sloth that arrived in North America before the creation of the <a href="//commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Isthmus_of_Panama" title="Category:Isthmus of Panama">Isthmus of Panama</a> and is thought to have traveled through the Caribbean islands by island hopping.
