Exeter Airport (FAA LID: O63) is three miles south of downtown Exeter, in Tulare County, California.[1]
Facilities
Exeter Airport covers 26 acres (11 ha) at an elevation of 340 feet (104 m). Its runway, 13/31, is 2,800 by 40 feet (853 x 12 m). In the year ending January 9, 2009 the airport had 400 general aviation aircraft operations, average 33 per month. Three single-engine aircraft were then based at the airport.[1]
History
During World War II, the airport was Hunter Auxiliary Field (A-1). The United States Army Air Forces used it as an auxiliary training airfield for the flying school at Rankin Field, California.
