John Joe McNeill is a Northern Irish actor.
Career
Mickybo and Me (2004) is McNeill's best known work, based on the play of the same name, the film tells the story of two boys who become friends at the start of the Troubles in 1970. The movie starred McNeill as "Mickybo" (Michael Boyle) alongside Niall Wright who played "Jonjo".
McNeill also appeared in the film Middletown (2006), in which he played a younger version of one of the main characters "Ned". The film won an IFTA and a Feature Film Award.
In 2005, McNeill was interviewed on Kelly, a 90-minute chatshow hosted by Gerry Kelly. He has not came to the attention of the media since then.
