Kovur is a located in the west of Chennai in the Kanchipuram district of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The town is a suburb of Chennai and is situated at a distance of about 22 kilometres from Chennai and 5 kilometres from Porur on the Porur-Kundrathur road.
