Mazeppa is a populated place located in Union County, Pennsylvania. The place was named in honor of Hetman Ivan Mazepa.[1][unreliable source?]
History
It was founded by Samuel Bowyer and his wife Sarah, presumably about 1886. Original title Boyertaun. Name the city - Mazeppa gave the teacher Clement Edmunds in 1886, taking it from the works of "Mazeppa" Lord Byron. In 1788 the city was built the first mill, which functioned until 1981.[2] Mazeppa passes through the town highway number 1001.
