Biography

Education

He is a 1994 graduate of Yale University, and a 1990 graduate of Phillips Exeter Academy.

Career

From 2000 to 2010 he was a writer for The New Republic where he covered domestic politics and foreign policy. He was also a reporter at the Boston Globe. His work has also been published in The New York Times, The Atlantic, GQ, New York and Slate. Michael Crichton allegedly based a minor character on him in his novel Next.[1]

Family

Crowley is married to Sarah McDonald, a program manager in Washington for the Aspen Institute. Crowley is the son of Phyllis F. Crowley and Joseph D. Crowley. His mother is a photographer and his father is the president of the New Haven Terminal.[2]
