Miriam Katherine McDonald (born July 26, 1987) is a former Canadian actress. She is best known for playing Emma Nelson on the television series Degrassi: The Next Generation.[1][2][3][4]

Career

McDonald focused on acting, landing a job in the series, System Crash, in 1999. McDonald found a niche as a voice-over actress, after she was cast in 2001 to participate in a cartoon series named Ripping Friends. She has done a total of 39 voice-over jobs.

In 2000, she was cast as Emma Nelson in Degrassi: The Next Generation, a spin-off of the successful Degrassi series.

In 2004, she played Dawn Gensler in the made-for-television movie She's Too Young. She also had a guest role on the Canadian Family show Naturally, Sadie as Heidi.

In 2008, she played Danielle "Daisy" Brooks in the made-for-television erotic-thriller movie, Poison Ivy 4: The Secret Society.

In 2013, she got a one episode role in the popular Canadian TV-show Lost Girl; she also made a small appearance in Orphan Black.

McDonald quit acting sometime in 2014 and has been working as a real estate agent ever since.
