The Flag of Montenegro (Montenegrin: Zastava Crne Gore, Застава Црне Горе) was officially adopted with the Law on the state symbols and the statehood day of Montenegro on 13 July 2004 at the proposal of the Government of Montenegro. It was constitutionally sanctioned with the proclamation of the Constitution on 22 October 2007. It is a red banner with broader golden edges all around the red field with the Coat of arms of Montenegro in its center.
The Law on the state symbols and the statehood day of Montenegro reached full effect the day after its publication in the Official Gazette of Montenegro. The publication occurred 12 July 2004 and the legal power of the Law occurred the day after, on 13 July 2004 - the statehood day of Montenegro.
The Republic flag is also the flag of the Military of Montenegro.

The Millennium Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge that spans Morača River, in Podgorica. It is 140 metres (460 feet) in length. It was opened on 13 July 2005, Montenegro's National Day, and quickly became one of the city's most prominent landmarks. The bridge connects the Bulevard of Ivan Crnojević in city center and July 13th street in the new part of city, thus relieving the other congested bridges connecting city center with densely populated districts over the Morača river.

Miraš Dedeić (Montenegrin/Serbian Cyrillic: Михаило, born Мираш Дедеић, Mihailo, Miraš Dedeić), also known as Metropolitan Mihailo, (b. 8 November 1938 in Ramovo Ždrijelo, Zeta, Yugoslavia) is the head of the uncanonical Montenegrin Orthodox Church since 1997. He has the self-styled title of Archbishop of Cetinje and the Montenegrin Metropolinate.
Besides his native language, Miraš Dedeić is fluent in Italian, Russian and Greek, while he can also understand French and translate Latin. He is a personal friend of the successor to the Italian throne Umberto II; he worked in Umberto's Archive in his villa in the tiny Portuguese city of Cascais, searching for documents regarding Umberto's mother Helen (Jelena), Princess of Montenegro. Metropolitan Mihailo resides at Cetinje.
