Maharana Pratap or Pratap Singh was the ruler of Mewar, a region in north-western India in the present day state of Rajasthan.He was the eldest son of Maharani Jayawantabai and Maharana Udai Singh II, founder of Udaipur. He belonged to the Sisodia clan of Rajputs. Maharana Pratap Singh is widely regarded as a fearless warrior and ingenious strategist, who successfully fought the Mughals and safeguarded his people until his death. In popular Indian culture, he is hailed as an inspirational figure for exemplifying gallantry and resourcefulness.

Meera

Meera, also known as Mira Bai, was a 16th century Hindu mystic poetess sant and devotee of Krishna. She is celebrated as a Sant ("truth-exemplar" or "saint") of Bhakti movement, particularly the Krishna-focussed Vaishnavism denomination of Hinduism, in northern and western India.

Meera was born in a royal family of Rajasthan, and her education included music, religion, politics and government. She married Bhojraj the crown prince of Mewar in 1516, her husband was wounded in 1518 and died in 1521 after a Hindu-Muslim battle, her own father died in a war with Babur's army in 1527, and little else is known about her life with any certainty.She is mentioned in Bhaktamal, confirming that she was widely known and a cherished figure in the Indian bhakti movement culture by about 1600 CE.Most legends about Meera mention her fearless disregard for social and family conventions, her devotion to god Krishna, her treating Krishna as her lover and husband, and she being persecuted by her in-laws for her religious devotion.

Bhairon Singh Shekhawat

Bhairon Singh Shekhawat was the 11th Vice-President of India. He served in that position from August 2002, when he was elected to a five-year term by the electoral college following the death of Krishan Kant, until he resigned on July 21, 2007, after losing the presidential election to Pratibha Patil. Shekhawat was a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), a leading member of the National Democratic Alliance at the time of election. He served as the Chief Minister of Rajasthan three times, from 1977 to 1980,1990 to 1992 and 1993 to 1998.

Rai Pithora, commonly known as Prithviraj Chauhan , was a Rajput king of the Chauhan dynasty who ruled over the kingdoms of Ajmer and Delhi in northern India during the latter half of the 12th century.

Prithviraj Chauhan was the last independent Hindu king, before Hemu, to sit upon the throne of Delhi. He succeeded to the throne in 1179 CE at the age of 13, and ruled from the twin capitals of Ajmer and Delhi which he received from his maternal grandfather, Arkpal or Anangpal III of the Tomara dynasty in Delhi. He controlled much of present-day Rajasthan and Haryana, and unified the Rajputs against Turkic invasions. His elopement in 1175 with Samyukta (Sanyogita), the daughter of Jai Chandra Rathod, the Gahadvala king of Kannauj, is a popular romantic tale in India.

Chauhan defeated Shahabuddin Muhammad Ghori in the First Battle of Tarain in 1191. Ghauri attacked for a second time the following year, whereupon Chauhan was defeated, captured at the Second Battle of Tarain (1192) and executed.

Jagjit Singh

Jagjit Singh, born Jagmohan Singh , was a prominent Indian Ghazal singer, composer and musician. Known as the "Ghazal King", he gained acclaim together with his wife, another renowned Indian ghazal singer Chitra Singh in the 1970s and 1980s.He sang in numerous languages. He was awarded the Padma Bhushan by the government of India in 2003. In February 2014, Government of India released a postal stamp in his honour.

Singh is credited for the revival and popularity of ghazal, an Indian classical art form, by choosing poetry that was relevant to the masses and composing them in a way that laid more emphasis on the meaning of words and melody evoked by them. In terms of Indian Classical music, his style of composing and Gayaki (singing) is considered as Bol-pradhan, one that lays emphasis on words. He highlighted this in his music for films such as Prem Geet (1981), Arth and Saath Saath (1982), and TV serials Mirza Ghalib (1988) and Kahkashan (1991)

Gayatri Devi

Gayatri Devi (born as Princess Gayatri Devi of Cooch Behar), was the third Maharani consort of Jaipur from 1940 to 1949 through her marriage to Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II. Following her husband's signature for the Jaipur State to become part of the Union of India and her step-son's accession to the throne in 1970, she was later known as 'Maharani Gayatri Devi, Rajmata of Jaipur.Gayatri Devi had one child, Prince Jagat Singh of Jaipur, late Raja of Isarda.

Ethnically born in a Koch Rajbongshi Hindu family, her father, Prince Jitendra Narayan of Cooch Behar, West Bengal, was the younger brother of the Yuvraja (Crown Prince) and her mother was Maratha Princess Indira Raje of Baroda, the only daughter of Maratha King, Maharaja Sayajirao Gaekwad III.Maharani Gayatri Devi was a particularly avid equestrienne. Gayatri Devi was an excellent rider and an able Polo player.She was fond of cars and is credited with importing the first W126, a 500 SEL to India which was later shipped to Malaysia. She also owned several Rolls Royces and an aircraft.

Following India's independence and the subsequent abolition of the princely states, she became an extremely successful politician. Gayatri Devi was also celebrated for her classical beauty and became something of a fashion icon in her adulthood and was once included in Vogue magazine's Ten Most Beautiful Women list

She died on 29 July 2009 in Jaipur, at the age of 90. She was suffering from paralytic ileus and lung infection.

Sakshi Tanwar

Sakshi Tanwar is an Indian television and film actress who started her career as an anchor in Doordarshan. Tanwar anchored the film songs-based program Albela Sur Mela in 1998.Starting from the year 2000 till the year 2008, Tanwar played the lead role of Parvati in the Balaji Telefilms soap opera, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii and after featuring in various serials in between she once again portrayed the role of the female lead, Priya, in the Balaji Telefilms soap opera, Bade Achhe Lagte Hain, which premiered in May 2011 and ended its run in July 2014. In December 2012, she also made an appearance in Kaun Banega Crorepati.

Tanwar was born in a middle-class family from Alwar, Rajasthan, India. She graduated from Lady Shri Ram College in New Delhi.
