Sa'ad bin Abdul Rahman Al Saud (1888–1915) was the only full brother of Abdulaziz, founder of the modern state of Saudi Arabia. He was one of Abdulaziz's most devoted supporters and a key lieutenant in the early military campaigns. He was called Sa'ad the First, because his father's wife give birth to another son named Sa'ad II later years.

Early life
His mother was Sarah bint Ahmad Al Kabir Al Sudairi.[1] He was Abdul Rahman's second son from his marriage to Sarah Al Sudairi.[2]
Death
Saad was captured by Sharif Hussein of Mecca in 1912, and Abdulaziz was forced to pay a humiliating ransom for his release. He was killed in the battle of Kinzaan against the Ajman tribe in 1916.[1]
Personal life
Abdulaziz married his widow, Jawhara bint Saad Al Sudairi (mother of Saud bin Saad), who bore the future King three sons, Saad bin Abdulaziz, Musa'id bin Abdulaziz and Abdul Mohsin bin Abdulaziz.
Sa'ad's sons Faisal, Fahd and Saud were taken in by Abdulaziz and raised as part of his own family. They later married into the King's family. Faisal bin Saad married King Abdulaziz's daughter Sara bint Abdulaziz. King Abdulaziz's another daughter, Al Anoud, who was full sister of Prince Muhammad and King Khalid, also married to the sons of Sa'ad bin Abdul Rahman. She first married Saud bin Saad. After Saud died, she married Fahd bin Saad.[3]
