St. Joseph Saints

The Saint Joseph Saints were a Western Association (1893-1897, 1927, 1940, 1954) and Western League (1898, 1900-1905, 1918-1926, 1930-1935) baseball team based in St. Joseph, Missouri, USA. They were affiliated with the St. Louis Cardinals in 1930, the Chicago Cubs in 1940 and the New York Yankees in 1954.[1]

They won three straight league championships, from 1933 to 1935. Their first came under manager Dutch Zwilling. Their second Wes Griffin and Earle Brucker, and their third under Earle Brucker. They won a fourth league championship in 1940 under Keith Frazier. This team no longer exists.

Dizzy Dean debuted his professional career with the team in 1930 going 17-8 in 32 games with a 3.69 ERA.
