Top Industrial Managers for Europe (TIME - Technologies d'Ingénieurs et Mobilité Etudiante) is a network of more than fifty engineering schools and faculties and technical universities. As the oldest and most established European network of engineering schools in its field, the T.I.M.E. promotes graduate student exchanges and double degrees throughout Europe with the purpose to enable students to achieve a broader high-level scientific engineering education with inter-cultural experience.

Several hundreds of European students participate in TIME mobility activities and pursue double degrees (at the level of master's degrees) each year. Double degrees require the participating graduate student to spend two years in a partner university and two years in his home university (or reverse order), so as to be granted both degrees.

TIME network primarily involves graduate engineering schools and technical universities throughout Europe, but has some overseas extensions.

History

In 1989, the T.I.M.E. network was created at the École Centrale Paris, a leading engineering school of France. Its main purpose was to coordinate European double degree and exchange programs in engineering at the Master’s level. The T.I.M.E. network had 16 founding members, each a leading engineering institution in their respective countries. The T.I.M.E. Association was formally incorporated on May 15., 1997, with 29 members.

The current membership is represented by 54 institutions from 20 countries. To date, the T.I.M.E network has produced more than 5,000 graduates in total.
