Williams and Norgate
Williams and Norgate were publishers in London and Edinburgh who specialised in non-English scientific literature.[1]
Williams & Norgate was founded by Edmund Sydney Williams (1817-1891)[2] and Frederick Norgate (1807–1893).[3] They had offices at 14 Henrietta Street, Covent Garden, London and in South Frederick Street in Edinburgh. Among other things, they published the magazine Natural History Review and Thomas Henry Huxley's work Evidence as to Man's Place in Nature.
