Ceremony marks completion of USACE, EUCOM project in Varska On Oct. 15, 2010, members of the Estonian Police and Border Guard Bureau, U.S. Embassy Tallin, U.S. European Command and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Europe District officially opened a 10-by-10 meter, $240,000, illuminated helicopter landing pad in Värska, Estonia. The landing pad, funded by EUCOM and managed by USACE, will help Estonian police and border guard operate more efficiently due to the upgrades. Additionally, along with a new helicopter pad and the other upgrades north in Narva, the nearly $560,000 project includes an enclosed hanger and new surrounding pavement.
