The 2014 Emirates Cup was a two-day pre-season men's football friendly tournament hosted by English Premier League club Arsenal and held at the Emirates Stadium, the club's home ground.

This was the seventh edition of the competition with four teams competing. Those were, the usual inclusion of hosts Arsenal of the Premier League, Benfica of the Primeira Liga, Monaco of Ligue 1 and Valencia of La Liga.[1] The competition took place over the weekend of 2–3 August 2014.

The usual points system which awards three for a win, one for a draw and zero for a loss is supplemented by a point being awarded for each goal scored. Galatasaray were the defending champions, after winning the 2013 edition.

The opening two matches were on 2 August, with the following matches staged a day later on 3 August. The first match on both days started at 14:00 BST, with the second match started at 16:20 BST.

Standings

Each team played two matches, with three points awarded for a win, one point for a draw and a point for every goal scored. In addition, shots on target were taken into account and used to decide the competition winners if teams are level on points and goal difference.[2]
