The 2016–17 season is Leicester City's 112th season in the English football league system and their 49th (non-consecutive) season in the top tier of English football.[1] This season Leicester City participate in the Premier League for the third consecutive season as well as the FA Cup and League Cup. The season covers the period from 1 July 2016 to 30 June 2017. The club will also take part in the pre-season International Champions Cup and are guaranteed to enter the 2016–17 UEFA Champions League at the group stage. Leicester City will enter the 2016-2017 season as reigning Premier League champions after winning the Premier League title in the 2015-2016 season.
