The 2016 Berlin ePrix (officially the 2016 FIA Formula E BMW i Berlin ePrix[1]) was a Formula E motor race held on 21 May 2016 in Berlin, Germany on a street circuit on the Karl-Marx-Allee. It was the eighth championship race of the 2015–16 Formula E season, the single-seater, electrically powered racing car series' second season. It also was the 2nd Berlin ePrix and the 19th Formula E race overall.[2] The race was won by Sébastien Buemi to close the championship gap to Lucas Di Grassi to one point going into the final two races.

Circuit

The circuit at Tempelhof Airport, where the first Berlin ePrix took place is not available this year. Instead, a new downtown location was found for the Berlin Street Circuit, which runs on the Karl-Marx-Allee and around Strausberger Platz.[2]
