Speed Series

The company developed NFV technologies and announced its Speed Series line of packaged software in late 2014.

  • Speed Series

- Virtual Accelerator

The first NFV solution launched the same year with the product called 6WIND Virtual Accelerator allowing hypervisor scaling.

In early 2015, the company decided to emphasize on NFV solution and announced its Turbo Router and Turbo IPsec software.

In 2016 Radware announced that its Alteon NG VA line Application Delivery Controllers can reach 20 Gbps throughput with 6WIND Virtual Accelerator in an OpenStack environment. That same year Mirantis announced integration with 6WIND for high performance data centers and NFV infrastructures.

Performance was publicly shared by organizations such as SDxCentral that published a performance report of 6WIND’s Speed Series based on third-party testing at Ixia Labs.

Light Reading mentioned also that 6WIND’s software has allowed NGI, an Italian service provider, to build an SDN router.
