The Interethnic Association for the Development of the Peruvian Rainforest (Spanish: Asociación Interétnica de Desarrollo de la Selva Peruana - AIDESEP) is a Peruvian national indigenous rights organization, presided over by a decentralized National Council based on six organisms found in the North, Center and South of the country. The organization is composed by 57 federations and territorial organizations, which represent the 1,350 communities where 350,000 indigenous people live, gathered in 16 language families.[1] Its current president is Henderson Rengifo Hualinga, who succeeded Alberto Pizango in 2014. AIDESEP is a member of the Amazon Basin indigenous organization, COICA.
