A Certain Smile is a 1958 American drama film directed by Jean Negulesco, based on the book of the same name by Francoise Sagan.

Plot

In Paris, beautiful Dominique Vallon is involved with a young man, Bertrand Griot, until suddenly entering into an unwise week-long romance with his wealthy and married uncle, Luc Ferrand.

Christine Carere was cast in the main role. She was brought to Hollywood and practised her English for ten months before filming.[3]
