Alankrita Sahai is an Indian model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned as Miss Diva Earth 2014[1][2][3] that gave her the right to represent India at Miss Earth 2014. She is the first Miss Earth delegate from the Femina Miss India's sister pageant, Miss Diva, that has been sending India's bet for Miss Universe since 2013.[4]

Biography
Early life
Alankrita was born in New Delhi, India. She did her schooling from Khaitan Public School and American Embassy School, New Delhi. For her higher studies she got enrolled in Gargi College, which is college for women affiliated to University of Delhi.[5]
Pageantry
Prior in joining Miss Diva, Alakrita was crowned as Miss Noida 2009.
Miss Diva 2014
Alankrita joined the second Miss Diva contest. She was proclaimed as the first runner up, gaining the title of Miss India Earth 2014. She succeeded Gurleen Grewal as the first runner from Miss Diva and Sobhita Dhulipala as Miss India Earth. Gurleen was sent to Miss International 2013.
During the entire course of the competition, Alankrita was able to get some special awards such as: Miss Style Icon, Miss Perfect Body and Miss Talent. In Miss Talent award, she and Shruti Iyer were the winners.
Miss Earth 2014
By gaining Miss India Earth title, Alankrita flew to the Philippines to compete with almost 100 other candidates to be Alyz Henrich's[6][7] successor as Miss Earth.
During the entire run of the competition, she was able to bag some awards such as best in evening gown, second place for Miss Photogenic award, and third place both for swimsuit and national costume rounds (designed by Melvyn Noronha). Alankirta was also awarded as one of the ten winners for the "Eco Beauty Video" category. However, she was not able to penetrate the top 16 semifinalists. At the conclusion of the pageant, Jamie Herrell of the Philippines was declared as Miss Earth 2014.[8][9][10]
