AIS uses and follows a tailored curriculum based on the Common Core curriculum developed in the United States. It is used in various international schools and in a majority of states in the US. It is a rigorous curriculum that incorporates language arts and literature, history and geography, mathematics, science, music, and the visual arts. The Albanian International School (AIS) strives to be a model international school offering a broad, challenging, and stimulating educational program to students from diverse cultural backgrounds. AIS is committed to inspiring students to achieve the highest measure of intellectual and personal development through a stimulating and comprehensive program. Within a caring, respectful and multicultural environment, AIS is committed to instilling in each student a desire to learn, to take appropriate risks, and to accept challenges. The AIS community is committed to developing students who are resilient and adaptable, equipped with knowledge, skills, and a disposition to be life-long learners who become personally fulfilled, interdependent, socially responsible adults. The Albanian International School (AIS) faculty and administration recognize the individuality of each student and the right of each student to receive the opportunity through education to develop to his/her fullest potential. Through dedication, hard work, and effective planning a flexible academic and extracurricular program is offered that allows each student opportunities to experience success. Through positive discipline AIS believes an atmosphere can be created to enable academic, social and physical development. AIS further believes that through cooperative interaction of the administration, faculty, students, parents, and community, each student can achieve his/her academic goals, develop a life-long love for learning, respect for self and others, and an enthusiasm for life that will help to ensure his/her success and happiness.
