Albert Koebele (born in Germany on February 28, 1853; died in Waldkirch on December 28, 1924) was a German/American entomologist. He moved to the United States at a young age and was naturalized in 1880. He did notable work with the United States Department of Agriculture on using Coccinellidae to combat citrus pests.[further explanation needed] He returned to Europe in 1908 and due to World War I was not able to return to the US so he died in Germany.[1]
