Alberto Caturelli
Alberto Caturelli (27 November 1927 – 4 October 2016) was an Argentinian philosopher and professor.[1]

Biography
Alberto Caturelli was born in Villa del Arroyito, Córdoba, the son of Renato Arturo Caturelli and Maria Virgili Oscaret.
He graduated in Philosophy from the University of Cordoba in 1949 and received his doctorate from the same University in 1953. He had a long career as a professor at the historic "Casa de Trejo" between 1953 and 1993. He was Professor of History of Medieval Philosophy and Senior Researcher at the National Scientific and Technical Research Council (CONICET).
In 1979 he organized the First World Congress of Christian Philosophy, on the centenary of Leo XIII's encyclical Aeterni Patris, which was followed by two successive editions in Monterrey (1987) and Quito (1989), although Caturelli held national Catholic Congresses of Philosophy for Argentina in the 1980s and 1990s. Caturelli was also a honorary member of the Pontifical Academy for Life.
He was awarded honorary doctorates from several universities (University of Genoa, Italy; FASTA University, Argentina, among others) and was a member of the editorial staff of Argentine and foreign philosophical journals.
Alberto Caturelli died in Córdoba.
