Alejandro Toledo (born in Cordoba, Argentina on 4 January 1977), is a composer, saxophonist, and ethnomusicologist, based in the United Kingdom. He is best known as a contemporary saxophonist incorporating diverse musical styles into his performance approach and compositions.[1][2]

He has made special appearances at various television and radio programs, including the Rob Brydon's BBC2 Christmas special alongside Noel Fielding, Sarah Harding, Rhys Darby, and Angelos Epithemiou.[3][4] In 2010 he was selected by Channel 4's Evo Music Rooms as one of the UK's best unsigned artists, and he went on to perform with Faithless and Audio Bullys on a televised program hosted by Edith Bowman.[5][6][7]

In 2013 he was awarded a PhD in music performance from Goldsmiths, University of London for his thesis entitled "World Music, Creative Reinterpretation, and the East Moldavian Roma Tradition" [8][9][10]

He has also been featured at a number of festivals including WOMAD, Colours of Ostrava, Secret Garden Party, Boom Festival, Harbour Fest, Glastonbury, Rhythms Of The World Festival, Wychwood Festival, Musicport World Music Festival, Solfest, Shambala, Big Chill Festival, Bestival, Pflasterspektakel, and others.[11][12][13][14][15]
