The Almshouse is a historic almshouse at 136 Elm Street in Stoneham, Massachusetts, and one of the few surviving structures of the type in the Greater Boston area. The 2.5 story wood frame house was built in 1852 with minimal Greek Revival styling, principally the sidelights around the front door. A hood that shelters the entrance is a later addition, and the building has been further extended in the 20th century.[2]
The building was built in 1852 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.[1] It is currently operated by the Stoneham Council on Aging as the Stoneham Senior Center.
