Amy Meredith are an Australian pop band who formed in 2006, fronted by lead singer and keyboard player Christian Lo Russo, with Joel Chapman and Cameron Laing on guitars, Wade Osborn on bass guitar and Kosta Theodosis on drums.

Music career

Amy Meredith released a self-titled EP in 2008. In 2009, having already been dropped from their label Tsubi/Ksubi,[1] Amy Meredith signed a deal with Sony Music Australia,[2] and released their debut single Pornstar, which peaked at No. 65 on the ARIA Singles Chart.[3] In March 2010 Amy Meredith released their second single, Lying,[4] which peaked at No. 10,[5] making it their only top 10 single. Their debut album, Restless was released on 2 July 2010 and reached No. 8 on the ARIA Albums Chart.[6] Shortly afterwards Sony terminated their deal with the band, so Amy Meredith turned to Vector Management for a distribution deal.[7] In 2013, with no label, Amy Meredith released their second album, Maps following a crowd funding effort to raise the required money,[8] The independent, low budget release of the album had moderate success. Since its release the band have been less active, though their Facebook page has referred to occasional gigs being performed in February 2014 and November 2014. [3]
