Andrew Colvin is the current Commissioner of the Australian Federal Police and a Member of the Order of Australia.
Early Career
He attended Harvard University and joined the Australian Federal Police in 1990. He has worked in policing narcotics, money laundering, politically motivated crime, illegal pornography and terrorism financing. He oversaw Australia's policing response to the 2001 Bombings in Bali and the Australian Embassy in Jakarta.[1]
Career as commissioner
He replaced Commissioner Tony Negus as head of the AFP in September 2014.[2][3]
