Anhovo (pronounced [ˈaːŋ̩xɔvɔ]; Italian: Salona d'Isonzo , Anicova Corada before 1927) is a settlement on the right bank of the Soča River in the Municipality of Kanal in the Littoral region of Slovenia.[2] It is best known for its cement factory Salonit Anhovo, built in 1921.[3]
The parish church in the settlement is built in the Gorenje Polje area and is dedicated to Saint Michael. It belongs to the Diocese of Koper.[4] There is a small railway station on the outskirts of the settlement.
