Apeejay School, Kolkata, is a school in West Bengal, India. The school is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. Initially the school offered classes in Nursery, Kindergarten and classes up to IV standard. More classes were added in subsequent years.

Each classroom and the administrative block is provided with a genee board connected with ICR by NIIT which is used as a learning aid, a blackboard and a public address system.

Location

Apeejay school is located in the heart of the city of Kolkata, in Park Street, next to the Assembly of God Church School, and the other located in Salt Lake. Reeta Chatterjee is the principal of both the schools.

Curriculum

The school offers classes from Nursery to XII. At Senior Secondary (Plus 2, XII) level the school offers three streams - Science, Humanities and Commerce. In the Salt Lake branch there are only Commerce and Science streams. The school follows the CCE procedure.

Co-curricular activities include newspaper reading, karate, yoga, music, dance, painting, Spanish learning clubs and French learning clubs. Coaching facilities for table tennis and martial arts are provided and a cricket tournament is held every year. The Salt Lake branch has a playground, sand pit, and field.

Houses

The students are divided into four houses - Radhakrishnan (green),Gandhi (yellow), Tagore (blue) and Nehru (red).

Infrastructure

The Park Street school building is a ground and four floor structure with a large basement. The Saltlake school building is a ground and four floor structure. Both the schools have computer and science labs, and a computerized library with 100 books, newspapers, journals and magazines.

Saltlake has playgrounds for football and cricket, and a playground for kids.
