Arrondissements of the Finistère department

The 4 arrondissements of the Finistère department are:

1. Arrondissement of Brest, (subprefecture: Brest) with 80 communes. The population of the arrondissement was 342,050 in 1990, and was 353,541 in 1999, an increase of 3.36%.
2. Arrondissement of Châteaulin, (subprefecture: Châteaulin) with 61 communes. The population of the arrondissement was 83,346 in 1990, and was 81,534 in 1999, a decrease of 2.17%.
3. Arrondissement of Morlaix, (subprefecture: Morlaix) with 60 communes. The population of the arrondissement was 122,873 in 1990, and was 121,331 in 1999, a decrease of 1.25%.
4. Arrondissement of Quimper, (prefecture of the Finistère department: Quimper) with 82 communes. The population of the arrondissement was 290,418 in 1990, and was 296,012 in 1999, an increase of 1.93%.
