Assata's Daughters is an organization of young Black women and girls in Chicago, that protests against police violence.[1][2] Assata's Daughters are part of a cluster of youthful, black activist organizations in Chicago, including the group's brother organization, BYP100, that sprang up as part of the Black Lives Matter, admire Malcom X's motto, "By any means necessary", and are regarded as more radical than the established black civil rights organizations.[3]

The group is named in honor of Black Panther militant Assata Shakur.[4]

Assata's Daughters helped organize the 2016 Donald Trump Chicago rally protest, and afterwards protested the arrest of 4 participants in the rally.[5]

The group has worked closely with Chicago Black Lives Matter to defeat the reelection bid of Cook County State's Attorney Anita Alvarez, of whose response to the Shooting of Laquan McDonald they disapprove.[6][2][7]
