The Federal Security Service (FSB) of the Russian Federation is the main domestic security agency of the Russian Federation and the main successor agency of the Soviet KGB. Its main responsibilities are counter-intelligence, internal and border security, counter-terrorism, and surveillance. Along with other federal ministries and agencies, the FSB created its own departmental awards subordinate to the state awards. This is a detailed list of these awards.

Border Guard Service of the FSB
On March 11, 2003 Russian president Vladimir Putin changed the status of the Border Guard Service from an independent service into a branch of the Federal Security Service.

Federal Border Service of Russia 1993-2003
Created on 30 December 1993 to replace the Border Guard Service of the KGB following the collapse of the Soviet Union, the Federal Border Service of Russia (Russian: Федеральная пограничная служба России) barely lasted a decade. It was given full autonomy by President Boris Yeltsin in an effort to reduce the power of the KGB, but was re absorbed into the new Federal Security Service on 11 March 2003 by President Vladimir Putin and renamed the Border Guard Service of the FSB of the Russian Federation (Russian: Пограничная служба Федеральной службы безопасности Российской Федерации). The Federal Border Service had its own awards subordinate to state awards. These awards are listed below with their establishment orders. These awards, although now redesigned to be in line with the awards of the FSB, remain listed in the order of precedence of the FSB and worn on the uniform of pre 2003 recipients.

Service of Special Communications and Information 1991-2003
On March 11, 2003 Russian president Vladimir Putin reorganized FAPSI from an independent service into the Service of Special Communications and Information (Spetsviaz) of the FSB. On August 7, 2004, Spetsviaz was incorporated as a structural sub unit of the Federal Protective Service (FSO).
Spetsviaz awards can now be found with the Awards of the Federal Protective Service of the Russian Federation.
