The 2000 Beach Soccer World Championship was the seventh edition of the Beach Soccer World Championships, the most prestigious competition in international beach soccer contested by men's national teams, organised by Beach Soccer Worldwide, which ultimately came under the control of FIFA in 2005 and subsequently rebranded as the better known FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup.

The tournament continued to take place in Rio de Janeiro, however for the first time the venue moved away from Copacabana Beach, being staged around ten miles north at the Marina da Glória.

Defending champions Brazil won their sixth consecutive title, after defeating Peru 6–2 in the final.

Organisation

The organisation remained the same as the previous World Cup, continuing with twelve teams, split into four groups of three teams with the top two teams progressing to the quarter finals.

Teams

Africa and Oceania were unrepresented.
