Beate Sturm (1951 - ?) was briefly a member of the Baader-Meinhof gang between 1970 and 1971. She grew up in Leverkusen as the daughter of a CEO of the Bayer Corporation. She studied physics and mathematics at the University of Cologne. Her gang codename was Jutta. She participated in some gang related bank robberies. She said she was trying to recreate the exciting world created in U.S. crime films.

On 20 December 1970, when Karl-Heinz Ruhland was arrested, she escaped, but turned herself in and was questioned by the Bundesverfassungsschutz, the German secret police. Since she cooperated with the police and the DA, she was released and was allowed to enrol at the university.
