Bernard Davenport (born c. 1939), Irish Ambassador.

Davenport was born in Tuam, County Galway. His father, Jack Davenport of Ballygaddy Road, who worked in the Tuam Sugar Factory.

Davenport was Irish Ambassador to Argentina in 1992, when a bomb exploded at the Israeli Embassy, killing thirty people. Because it was Saint Patrick's Day, however, there was no one at work in the Irish Embassy, though it was extensively damaged in the blast.

He presented his Letters of Credence to the Holy See in September 2001 where he retired from in 2004.[1]
