Season two of Beverly Hills, 90210, an American teen drama television series, began airing on July 11, 1991 on Fox television network. The season concluded on May 7, 1992 after 28 episodes. This season follows the friends during their junior year of high school as they deal with everyday teenage issues such as pregnancy scares, sex, teenage rebellion, divorce, alcohol abuse, drug use, adoption, racial discrimination, sexual assault, mental disorders, grief and death.

The second season was aired Thursdays at 9/8c in the United States averaging 17.6 million viewers a week. The season was released on DVD as an eight disc boxed set under the title of 'Beverly Hills, 90210: The Complete Second Season on May 14, 2007 by CBS DVD.

Overview

The second season follows the gang as the school year comes to a close and summer arrives, but drama continues to make its way through the friends as old and new relationships begin to blossom, but unbeknownst to them their biggest test comes during the approaching school year, which threatens to leave heartbreak and difficult choices at its helm.

With school out for the summer, Brandon is working to earn enough money to buy a 1965 Mustang convertible. To do so, he quits working at the Peach Pit and sets out to find a higher paying job. He is later hired as a cabana boy at the Beverly Hills Beach Club. Meanwhile, after taking a home pregnancy test, Kelly takes Brenda to the gynecologist where the truth as to whether or not she is pregnant is decided once and for all, but the results mean the end for Brenda and Dylan.

While working at the Beverly Hills Beach Club, Brandon meets Jerry Ratinger who hires him as a driver for his wife. When Jack McKay is indicted on income tax evasion, Dylan goes out surfing in dangerous waters and is injured in the storm. The Walsh family take him to the hospital, but Jim is upset when he catches Brenda kissing Dylan. Meanwhile, Andrea, Donna, David and Brenda continue their acting class with Donna as Romeo and David as Juliet. Kelly falls for a handsome volleyball player who likes her but is scared to have sex.

Jim suggests that Dylan go to Hawaii and visit his mother. Steve and Brandon organize after dark poker games at the beach club, and the teens enjoy dressing up like high rollers of the past. But when a burglary occurs, their scheme is exposed, and a penniless Dylan is fingered as the prime suspect. Meanwhile, Brenda and Donna go sunbathing hoping for the perfect tan, but a sleepy Brenda only succeeds in getting a case of sun-poisoning.

Meanwhile, Brenda can't keep thoughts of Dylan out of her mind while he is in Hawaii.

Meanwhile, both Brenda and Andrea develop feelings for their acting teacher, sparking a fight between the two girls when he shows interest in Andrea.

The gang decide to go on a parent-free camping trip, but both the weather and cabin aren't what they expected. The newlyweds honeymooning next door share their problems with the teens. Meanwhile, Scott returns from Oklahoma and finds that his friendship with newly popular David has considerably cooled.

Donna and Steve experiment with the stock market, and Donna turns out to have a surprising knack for picking successful stocks.

Meanwhile, the guys (sans David) decide to hire a stripper for the evening, but their plans are foiled when Andrea barges in to their private party.
