The Biola University Eagles are the 19 varsity athletic teams that represent Biola University, located in La Mirada, California, in National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics intercollegiate sports. The Eagles compete as members of the Golden State Athletic Conference for most sports except men and women’s swimming and diving..[1]

Biola University currently sponsors 19 varsity intercollegiate athletics programs, including: Baseball, Men’s Basketball, Women’s Basketball, Men’s Cross Country, Women’s Cross Country, Men’s Golf, Women’s Golf, Men’s Soccer, Women’s Soccer, Men’s Swimming & Diving, Women’s Swimming and Diving, Softball, Men’ Tennis, Women’s Tennis, Men’s Indoor Track & Field, Men’s Outdoor Track & Field, Women’s Indoor Track & Field, Women’s Outdoor Track & Field and Women’s Volleyball.

Dr. Dave Holmquist currently serves as the Athletic Director overseeing all 19 varsity programs. He is also the school’s men’s basketball coach and the winningest active coach in the NAIA Division I [2]

Other current members of the Golden State Athletic Conference include Arizona Christian University Firestorm, Hope International University Royals, Menlo Oaks, San Diego Christian College Hawks, The Master’s College Mustangs, Vanguard University Lions, Westmont College Warriors and William Jessup University Warriors.

Biola University Athletics has been an active member of the NAIA since 1964.[3] Biola University was established as the Bible Institute of Los Angeles in 1908.
